First day with Vitamix

In owning my Vitamix for less than a day, I have already made good use of my investment.

Of course, the first thing I whipped up was a green smoothie. I loaded it up with kale, spinach, banana, apple and cucumber. Tasty and so smooth!

I’ve also made:

  • Hummus
  • Tortilla Soup
  • More green smoothies
  • Mango ice cream
  • Strawberry ice cream
I don’t think I will ever leave my apartment. I will be too busy trying new recipes. The tortilla soup was yummy. I followed part of the recipe in the book. I didn’t have all the ingredients so I just threw in the veggies I had in my refrigerator. I added tortillas which added salt. (Won’t do this again) The recipe in the book called for veg stock. I used plain water because I want to control what I put in my soups. Next soup will be carrot! 
Again I followed the recipe for the hummus. Instead of using tahini I used raw sesame seeds which is basically the same thing minus the olive oil. It turned out pretty good but next time I would add more spice and garlic.
The mango and strawberry ice cream turned out perfectly. I am so addicted. I hope there’s a support group for Vitamix owners.
