Favorite Olympic snack: Black bean/chickpea dip (with recipe)

Hummus has forever been my favorite snack/dip. I used to make it in my cheap blender and later my cheap food processor. Results were tasty.
Fast forward to today. Thanks to the Vitamix, my hummus is smoother and tastier than ever before. Plus it’s a lot easier to make. No need to mush up the chickpeas before putting them into the blender. The Vitamix gets the job done in less than a minute.
Love hummus. A few weeks ago, I sampled a black bean/chickpea hummus at the local public market. It was delicious. I glanced at the ingredients. I could whip this up. No problem. Since that day I have since made three different version of the black bean dip. Below is my favorite mix.

My Black Bean/Chickpea Hummus Recipe:

1 can black beans
1 can chickpeas
1 handful of cilantro
1 tablespoon of curry powder
1 pinch of garlic
A splash of lemon
1/2 cup of water
A pinch of fried dried jalapenos
A splash of olive oil
Try it. I guarantee you will love it! I like to dip with these great gluten-free and salt-free tortilla chips. What’s your favourite hummus recipe?
