Setting CrossFit goals

My new target is to hit CrossFit four times a week – three week days and Saturday morning. I was happy to make it three times this week. I couldn’t go on Saturday because it was my turn to man the weekend reporting desk.

I won’t lie. It has not a smooth transition back to CrossFit after nearly a month hiatus. Some skills are still there while other have fallen at the boxside. Have I mentioned lately how much I hate the snatch?
And so that brings me to setting my goals. I’ve been trying to set some smart goals for the next few months. I have so many things to work on that it is challenging to pick just a few.

The picture above? That’s not one of my goals. I just think it’s such a powerful picture. Awesome. Dare I dream? I haven’t even tried to do a handstand since I was 12.

My immediate and smart goal is to master that damn snatch. I’d like to hit 55 pounds before January. My form still sucks. We’re targeting snatch on Thursday’s WOD. See the full schedule here. (So happy our box decided to post the week’s WODS.  Before we had to check the night before for the next day’s WOD. Now I can pick and choose the days.)

Right so I am attacking the snatch. That bitch Olympic move is going down.
