Wonderful Wednesday

How was your day? Mine was filled with sunshine. My workday was pleasant enough and I had a good workout in the morning & a nice walk after work. Fresh air does a body good.

I went to my favorite sushi place in Red Deer. Yes there’s less than five but I do I have a favorite place. It’s a block east of City Hall. I like to go every other week. They have a good lunch special for a decent price.

I usually order the lunch special. But today I had a big craving for seaweed. I love seaweed. Tasty. Tasty Tasty.

Seaweed is a staple in Asian diets. When I was in Korea, I ate seaweed nearly everyday. Dulse was a favourite snack when I was younger in Nova Scotia.

You are definitely missing out if you haven’t tried seaweed. You can eat it in soups, dried, raw or whatever. There’s so many options.

Above all, edible seaweed is one of those superfoods that is packed with minerals and vitamins. Isn’t that a great reason to try something green today?

  1. I LOVE Dulse! My family is from NB and it was a favourite snack of ours. Mmmm. Everyone here in Alberta (other than my own family) thinks I'm strange but I love it.

  2. Me too. Most people where I live have never heard of it. I am looking forward to having some fresh dulse this summer!
