I don’t get out much. I went to Peavey Mart for the first time last week.
Imagine my surprise when I found a dozen or so variety of sprouting seeds. I was in heaven. (I have a thing for sprouts.) I grabbed a spicy lentil mix and wheat berries. Wheatgrass juice, anyone? I can’t wait to try them out. It’s nice to shake up your sprout world.
And speaking of growing …. I think Jack and I have the worst community garden plot. Nothing is coming up but weeds. Ugh. Last year everything grew in our plot. We really lucked out. Now I am worried nothing will come up. Boo.
I am crossing my fingers that stuff will grow. Send me your positive vibes. It’s still early in the season so … anything could happen.
Meanwhile Alycia promised to take me to a couple u-picks this summer. I am so excited! I remember picking apples on Sundays in the valley when I was younger.
Nothing beats fresh produce!
