It’s hump day

Wednesday. 

Middle of the week.

Hump Day.

Is it Friday yet?

Gosh I can’t tell you how many times those thoughts ran through my head. I am excited for the weekend. I am spending the weekend with Carleigh and Jon at Vegan Camp LeClair, which is on a lake south of Barrhead. I can’t wait to chill and go kayaking! 

Tonight I ran a quickie 7K after work. I forgot my sneakers at home so I was forced to drive home and run around my neighbourhood. I don’t mind running around here but I like my route near my office. (Princess moment, I know.) I don’t like all the stops and starts due to traffic lights. It’s annoying. I want uninterrupted trail. 

My legs have recovered from my 54K weekend of running. My knee, however, is still banged up and I should have a sweet blue bruise within a couple of days. It’s been a struggle to get out. No doubt my monthly will hit any day now. I feel so bloated and gross. Every day this week I set my alarm early so I could run before work. Every single time I woke up before the alarm and reset it. I am great at self sabotage. Is it the weekend yet? 

Next Sunday I am running a 10K race in Red Deer. Eek! What am I thinking? I am in no shape to run a 10K race. Of course I can run 10k but a race a 10k? Not so much. You’ll have to wait until my May 20th Running with Rhyno column to learn about my last 10K race. Let’s just say I got a case of the nerves.

I just have to smile and hope for the best.

Meanwhile this makes me smile.
