Where did the summer go?

It feels good to just get out and run. All week I had the perfect excuse for not running – work, moving, rest, recovery – you name it. But I got back to it this morning with a slow 10K. My right leg/foot is still giving me some grief. I’m definitely getting back to massage and chiro this week.

SUMMER IS TOO SHORT

I feel like I haven’t done anything this summer. It’s been go, go and go some more.  Last year at this time I was on my two-week solo trip to Tofino. I haven’t camped once this summer. Thankfully I still have time. If Mother Nature cooperates, we can camp until about October.

My Lost Soul training days are winding down. I am not going to taper because I feel I don’t run that much that warrants a taper. Obviously I will not run 30K two days before the race. I want to get in a few more long runs before the race. This Sunday I am going to run between 32K and 35K. (Crossing my fingers that my right foot/leg will hold up.)

  1. lol “Where did the summer go?” should really be a part of Canada’s national anthem, don’t you think? Hope the medical attention helps, knock on wood, I haven’t had any major things happen for awhile that would stop me from running. But, then again, I’m pretty sure I don’t put in the miles you do!
